Every Planch installation follows the same four-stage process — the one that makes a five-year guarantee possible. No shortcuts, no exceptions.
PLANCH FLOOR CROSS-SECTION — REF: PLN-2026
Free Measure & Consult
A Planch fitter visits your site, measures every room, checks subfloor condition, and advises on the best product for your use case — carpet for bedrooms, LVT for kitchens, or commercial-grade vinyl for high-traffic areas.
Typically 30 minutes · No obligation · Subfloor report included
Subfloor Preparation
We level, prime, and condition your concrete or timber subfloor before a single tile or roll is unrolled. This is where most fitters cut corners. We don't — because it's what the 5-year guarantee depends on.
Self-levelling compound · Moisture barrier · 24hr cure where needed
Precision Installation
Pattern-matched seams, heat-welded joins on vinyl, power-stretched carpet — we use the same techniques on a studio flat as on a 2,000m² logistics warehouse. Speed never compromises the seam.
Heat-welded vinyl seams · Power-stretched carpet · Laser-guided layout
Inspection & Sign-Off
Before we pack the van, you walk the room with us. We check every edge, every seam, every threshold. Your 5-year guarantee certificate is issued on the spot, tied to your specific floor reference number.
Seam pressure test · Edge inspection · Guarantee certificate issued

We don't cherry-pick. Below are our most recent reviews — and the pattern is consistent. When something goes wrong, we make it right.

"The seam in our hallway lifted after eighteen months — my fault, I'd dragged a heavy fridge across it. Planch came back within four days, no charge, no argument. That guarantee is real."

Marcus Webb
Landlord · 6 rental properties, Bristol
"We needed 480 square metres of commercial LVT laid across two floors before we reopened on Monday. They finished Sunday afternoon, cleaned up, and left us the guarantee docs. I didn't think it was possible."

Priya Sharma
Operations Manager · Whitmore & Co, Birmingham
"Third time using Planch for a tenant changeover. Seven days from empty flat to carpet down and ready. They know what landlords need — speed, reliability, and a floor that doesn't embarrass you."

Declan O'Brien
Portfolio landlord · Manchester
"I was skeptical about the five-year guarantee — sounds too good. Two years in, a corner of vinyl in the bathroom started lifting. One call, two days later it was fixed. No fuss. The guarantee is the real deal."

Sarah Calloway
Homeowner · Leeds
"The fitters arrived on time, worked cleanly, and the herringbone layout in the kitchen is perfect. The seams are invisible. It's been 18 months and it looks like day one. Worth every penny."

Tom Fairweather
Homeowner · Edinburgh
